The North West Inter-Regional team has been crowned champions after an incredibly competitive and hard-fought tournament, delivering a series of exciting performances across both days of play.
What makes this achievement even more special is that every player in the squad came from the CoM team, showcasing the strengthof the club. The team was expertly guided by coach Seb, alongside senior CoM player Lucas, whose leadership and experience proved invaluable throughout the competition.
From the very first match, it was clear that this would be a closely contested tournament. The North West got off to a strong start with a tense 9–7 victory over the North East, setting the tone for what was to come. They followed this with another impressive performance, edging out the South West 12–9 in a tightly fought encounter.
One of the standout moments of the competition came in a dramatic clash against the London Sharks. Despite being three players down and temporarily without their goalkeeper Caelen due to cramp, the North West pushed their opponents to the limit. In an unforgettable match, they narrowly lost 11–12, demonstrating immense resilience and fighting spirit under pressure.
Undeterred, the team returned on Day Two with renewed focus and determination. In another nailbiting contest, they secured a crucial 9–8 win against the East. This victory proved decisive, as it ensured the North West finished at the top of the table and claimed the overall championship title.
Alongside the team’s success, there were also well-deserved individual honours:
Caelen was awarded Best Goalkeeper of the Competition for his outstanding performances between the posts.
Yash was named MVP of the North West team, recognising his exceptional contribution and impact throughout the tournament.
This victory is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent within the CoM setup. With every player contributing and strong leadership on and off the field, the North West team’s triumph is one to be celebrated across the entire club.
