Although they had already qualified for Phase 2 (Super 5’s) our Senior Women had a long journey to a new venue, St Sidwell’s Point in Exeter, to play their 2 final matches.
The first, a top of the table clash against previously undefeated Otter , proved why our women have won the British Water Polo League Division 1 trophy for the last 3 seasons with a 15-25 win. Team Captain and Comets coach Izzy Howe top scored with a magnificent 7 goals and Chris Eastwood, make his debut as Team Manager.
The final match in Phase 1 resulted in a 24-2 victory against Division 1 newcomers Exeter. 8 players were on the score sheet with Steph Whittaker top scoring with 6.
It was a terrific overall performance during the 3 weekends of Phase 1 with a 100% record, scoring 111 goals and conceding 37.
Looking forward to the Super 5s which kick off on January 21-22 2023 with a trip to Aldershot.
