Our Senior men had 3 important matches on the weekend of 5th & 6th November to ensure that they qualify for next year’s Super 5’s.
First up was a great 23-4 victory on Saturday 5th Nov against Caledonia Waterpolo Club with a very strong all-round performance with Aaron Winstanley, Kai Dowling and Jordan Elliott top scoring with 4 goals each.
After trailing 4-7 at the end of Q3 in the second match against Sheffield, a Q4 rally saw them take a 9-8 lead only for Sheffield to equalise with 7 seconds left on the clock..
Another 9-9 draw in the final match agaist Lancaster, this time after taking an 8-7 lead into the final qtr.
The final weekend at Haberdashers on 10/11th December will be crucial if we want to qualify for Super 5’s and defend the title we have won for the last 3 seasons. Some hard training ahead.
