We are thrilled to share that 7 of CoM’s players were part of the Great Britain women’s squad competing in the Water Polo World Cup in Istanbul. This is a huge achievement, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication on the international stage.
The team showcased impressive performances throughout the tournament, securing three victories against Bulgaria, Czech Republic, and Turkey. These wins highlighted the team’s skill, determination, and teamwork as they advanced to the semi-finals.
In a hard-fought semi-final match, GB faced a strong Japanese team. Despite a valiant effort, they narrowly missed out on the finals, with a close scoreline of 15-12.
The team will now face Germany in a highly anticipated bronze medal match.
A special mention goes to our Head of Performance, Theo, who has been coaching and guiding the GB team. Theo’s expertise and leadership have been instrumental in preparing the squad for this prestigious tournament.
We wish the team the best of luck in their upcoming match and look forward to cheering them on.
