The U16 Boys team made a powerful impression in their first European competition, taking part in the first U16 Nordic League competition held over two weekends in Finland and Germany. Competing against youth teams from across Europe, the Manchester squad delivered a series of outstanding performances.
They won all of their group matches, finishing top of the table and earning a place in the final against Vilnius, Lithuania—a team they had already beaten by six goals earlier in the weekend.

The final, however, brought a new challenge. Manchester found themselves trailing 6-1 at half time, but with a tactical shift from Coach Dan Paddon, the team mounted a determined comeback. Despite their efforts, the match ended in a 9-7 defeat, securing a well-deserved silver medal.
Goalkeeper of the tournament
Adding to the team’s success, Logan Mathewson was recognised for his exceptional performances in goal and was awarded Goalkeeper of the Tournament—a fantastic award that reflects his consistency and impact throughout the competition.

A Proud Moment for Manchester
Congratulations to the players, coaches, and the dedicated supporters who travelled to cheer them on—the energy and commitment helped make this an unforgettable tournament experience.
